Elizabeth Woodcock undertook undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Queensland and PhD studies in Molecular Biology at Macquarie University as a CSIRO student. She subsequently trained in structural protein chemistry and finally in molecular pharmacology.
She is currently a Principal Research Fellow of the NHMRC and Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at both Monash and Melbourne Universities. She works at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Research Institute in Melbourne, where her research investigates the contribution of intracellular signalling pathways to heart disease. She has published over 150 papers and presents regularly at international heart meetings.
